On 18 November 2010 The Reserve Bank has anounced that the repo rate is reduced by 50 basis points. This means that the banks will reduce their prime lending rate down to 9%.

No Transfer Duty or Capital Gain Tax?
February 2011
For those of you who have their primary residence registered in a CC., Trust or Company, now have the opportunity to transfer the property into your own name, with out paying transfer duty or capital gain tax. Before you take any action, consult with your finacial advisor to establish whether this will be to your advantage. Then consult with your transferring attorney to establish whether you will qualify not to pay transfer duty and capital gain tax. Then establish with your bank wheteher you will qualify for the outstanding bond amount. You have to take action before the end of 2011.

The Step by Step Application Process
- Step 1:
- Decide:
- where you want to live
- when you need to move in
- for how long do you want to rent
- any special requirements, for example, study, swimming pool, parking for trailer/ caravan pets, etc.
- Step 2:
- Click here to view our rental properties that are available to rent. Rental properties do not stay for long on the market. In the event that you do not find what you are looking for, click here to send us an e-mail with your requirements or if you prefer to talk to us personally click here to obtain our contact details.
- Step 3:
- Obtain the following documents:
- the name and address of your employer (or accountant if you are self employed)
- obtain your bank statements for the last three months
- obtain your pay sheets for the last three months amounts reflecting in your bank statement
- your current or previous landlord/letting agent’s name, address and contact details
- the name and address of the a guarantor if you are not employed, a student, or have come from overseas
- obtain application forms from LA GRANDE
- Step 4:
- Complete and submit your application forms plus supporting documents to La Grande.
- Once your application is successful, LA GRANDE will draw up a Lease Agreement between yourself, as Tenant and the Landlord.
- Step 5:
- Read and sign the Lease Agreement, pay your Deposit and your first month’s Rent, then start packing and get ready to......
- MOVE IN AND ENJOY YOUR NEW HOME!
- Please note that it is only after the Landlord has signed the Lease Agreement that the lease will be binding between Tenant and Landlord.

Your application should not only persuade us/Landlord to accept you, and your family members, as tenant, but should also convince yourself that you are the better candidate.
